Obas Group

The OBAS Group is a multi-award winning organisation comprising OBAS UK, OBAS Care and OBAS Tech, trading from its impressive headquarters in Longridge, Preston. The group provides over 17,000 products throughout the UK and Ireland to over 26,500 clients.

In January 2008 our group acquired the stock, goodwill, assets, Intellectual Property Rights of EPS UK Ltd, HWA Ltd, Impact Decor Direct Ltd, Slater Developments Ltd and OBAS DPM Ltd which had formerly been trading for more than 10 years with a combined annual turnover of £10m. The acquisition saved over 30 jobs within the local community.

A variety of awards have been won by the company and its management team. It achieved Investors In People status in May 2010 and is working towards ISO accreditation and Guild of Architects and Ironmongery certification.

The group specialises in three principle business sectors: building, healthcare and technology. Within these business sectors there are a wide variety of categories and products.

The building section trades as OBAS UK and incorporates categories including plumbing, building, decorating, groundworks, plastering, electrical, and roofing. With products stocked for this business sector alone totaling in excess of 17,000, including screws, fixings, nails, bolts, driver bits, blades, drill bits, abrasives, sealant & adhesives, paint, ironmongery, security, lighting, heating & cooling, plumbing, building materials, safety & workwear, cleaning, access & storage, automotive, handtools and powertools.

Healthcare is just as diverse with over 3,500 products stocked, providing a huge variety of essentials, bathing aids, toileting aids, mobility, pediatrics, homecare, house, home, bariatric, assessment, exercise and cognitive products.

Technology is an exciting area of the group which is being tested and refined in readiness for launch in 2010. The company has been setup as a result of customer request.
