Downtown launches business Oscars
The Lancashire Business Oscars will take place on May 29 at Stanley House, near Preston, and will showcase those who have made an outstanding contribution to the county's business environment over the past 12 months.
The awards will honour six categories:
Young Entrepreneur of the Year
Young Journalist of the Year
Best Downtown Bar / Restaurant, Professional of the Year
Best Business Advisor
Property Professional of the Year
Entrepreneur of the Year.
The awards are to be run by lobby and networking group Downtown Preston In Business, headed by Frank McKenna, former deputy leader of Lancashire County Council and leader of the North West Regional Assembly.
He said: "These awards will honour not just the established companies and individuals, but also those young, rising stars who will no doubt become major successes in the future."
