Aims
- To help inform and influence public agencies of private sector obstacles by delivering evidence collected at seminars and through the Downtown website.
- Act as a collective voice for the property developers and investors who have interests in Preston.
- Improve communication channels between public sector agencies and private sector developers and investors by a series of high-level presentations from leading officials.
- Positively promote the reputation of the city and encourage new and existing property developers and investors to view Preston as an attractive place to do business.
- Promote and encourage communication between investors and developers.
How these aims will be achieved
- Quarterly property events providing opportunities to debate current issues, with presentations from the most important private and public sector organisations involved in Preston's regeneration.
- Challenge the public agencies to change existing structures that inhibit property developers and investors in the city.
- Survey, research and collect the opinions of the Property Forum members to produce a collective response that will be issued to the public agencies for comment and action and to produce reports for Property Forum members on the actions of the public agencies.
- Provide an information service and online forum via the dedicated Property Forum section on the Downtown website.
- Act as a link for new property investors looking to establish in Preston.
- Provide networking opportunities for Property Forum members.
