The long discussed Tithebarn development in the heart of Preston city centre is seen by many as the main reason for optimism about the city’s future, whilst others have expressed concerns about the impact the initiative may have on Preston, and in particular question weather it will, indeed, ever be delivered. Developers Grosvenor will be presenting their plans for Preston at the next DPIB Lancashire Property Forum at Stanley House on the afternoon of Tuesday 13th November. |
Lancashire entrepreneur Steve Jackson has been given the backing of Preston City Council to develop the city’s first ever casino on the site of the old ‘Fives’ building in Guildhall Street. The proposal was also welcomed by DPIB Chairman who said: “We need to create a night time economy in Preston and this would be an excellent project to start that process.” |

BURNLEY HIT BY LOCATION CONTROVERSY |
|
Burnley has been identified as one of the worst twenty places to live in England by Channel 4 TV programme, ‘Location, Location, Location’. The failure to deliver major projects such as ‘Weavers Triangle’ has been blamed by many for the town’s poor performance in the TV shows annual ‘worst place to live’ league table.
