Peter Butterfield named Lancashire Business Journalist of the Year

Peter Butterfield has been crowned Business Journalist of the Year for his contributions to Lancashire Business View over the last 12 months.

The former Lancashire Business View editor, who retired this month and will now contribute to the magazine in a consultancy role, was handed the prize at Downtown Preston’s business awards at Stanley House.

Over the last year, Peter has overseen a re-brand and re-design; introduced key new features including Young ‘Uns and The Players; launched ViewpointsLive, a question-time format event; and guided the development of our new web presence.

“Winning the award is a wonderful finale to my career now that I have retired but I could not have achieved anything without the unstinting support of the Lancashire Business View team," said Peter.

“I was proud to be editor of Lancashire’s premier business magazine and my thanks to all those who voted for me – you allowed me to head into retirement with a bang. It was a night I will always remember.”

Commercial manager Stephen Bolton was also runner-up in the networking category.
