The winners of Preston's newest awards ceremony have been announced at a glittering ceremony.
Six In The City, organised by private sector lobbying and networking group Downtown Preston In Business, was held on Thursday night in Preston North End Football Club's Great Room.
A number of awards were up for grabs, recognising the contribution businesses have made to Lancashire and its economy.
In the end, the Financial and Professional Services Award went to Taylor Patterson, Preston based independent financial advisors; and the Marketing and Media Professional Award to Andrew Calvert, editor of Lancashire Business View.
The Food and Leisure Award went to Heathcotes restaurant; while the Best Newcomer Award went to Lancashire firm Osiris Enforcement Ltd.
The Best Business Award went to Preston firm Liquid Plastics; and the Property Award to Conlon Construction.
The Chairman's Award went to Edwin Booth from Booths Supermarket.
Guests at the event enjoyed a top dinner, speeches from leading business figures including Frank McKenna, chairman of Downtown Preston In Business and Steven Broomhead, chief executive of the Northwest Regional Development Agency.
Musical entertainment was provided by singer Neville Skelly.
Mr McKenna said: "The evening was a great success, and we were delighted with the response from the companies who picked up an award.
"The awards do not just recognise businesses which have a strong balance sheet, but rather those companies who have made positive contributions to the local business community as a whole.
"This is the first Six In The City event to have been held in Preston and we are keen to make it a top fixture on Lancashire's business calendar."
